Core Rules & Strategy for Tongits Go
Beat your opponents with skill and smart thinking
Form Melds
Form melds with three or four cards of the same rank, or three or more consecutive cards of the same suit. The more melds you have, the better your chances of winning.
Draw and Discard at the Right Time
Each round, draw a card from the deck or discard pile and immediately discard any card you don't need. Making quick decisions is the key to winning.
Declaring Tongits and Draw
If you can place all your cards into melds, declare "Tongits" and win the game. Alternatively, you can call Draw and win by having the lowest point count.
Watch Your Opponents
Keep track of the cards your opponents discard. Understanding which cards they are picking from the deck will also strengthen your strategy.
Keep Your Points Low
If the game goes to a Draw, the player with the lowest points in hand wins. So get high-value cards (J, Q, K) into melds or discard them as quickly as possible.
The Expose Strategy
If you have the opportunity to add your cards to an opponent's meld (Expose), use it. This reduces the points in your hand and disrupts your opponent's plan.
